there are not many but only One. . .Behold then as One the infinite and eternal One who is in radiance beyond space, the everlasting Soul never born.Brihadaranyaka Upanishad
Who sees all beings in his own Self, and his own Self in all beings, loses all fear.
When a sage sees this great Unity and his Self has become all beings, what delusion and what sorrow can ever be near him?Isha Upanishad
One who neglects or disregards the existence of earth, air, fire, water, and vegetation disregards his own existence which is entwined with them.Bhagawan Mahavira
one person is all people; all people are just one person. Buddha, Shurangama sutra
The ten thousand appearances in profusion mingle yet are not disordered. All are just one, for all alike are without a nature. One is just all, for causes and results follow in succession. Their strengths and functions intermingle, rolling up and spreading out with freedom and ease. This is called the Perfect Teaching of the One Vehicle.Hsien Shou, The City of 10,000 Buddhas
The universe and I came into being together; and I, and everything therein, are One.Chuang Tzu
“The Tao gives birth to One.
One gives birth to yin and yang.
Yin and yang give birth to all things…
The complete whole is the complete whole.
So also is any part the complete whole…
But forget about understanding and harmonizing and
making all things one. The universe is already a
harmonious oneness; just realize it.”
(46 The Hua Hu Ching)

The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens.
When the joy of oneness is found within,
everyday work becomes sacred.
He is made one with Nature: there is heard
His voice in all her music, from the moan
Of thunder, to the song of night’s sweet bird.

In contemplation, may we realize truly our inextricable ONENESS with our Mother Earth.~Swami Shraddhanada
“I am going to venture that the man who sat on
the ground in his tipi meditating on life and its meaning, accepting the kinship of all creatures, and acknowledging unity with the
universe of things, was infusing into his being the true essence of
Chief Luther Standing Bear – Lakota Sioux
“Once you have achieved this oneness, when you talk, God talks; when you act, God acts.” -Chuck Ross, LAKOTA
In my innermost self, I know this to be true. I know of this oneness. The more I am free of doubt, jealousy, judgment, selfishness, anger, the closer I am to this oneness. When I am right with the Creator, nothing can touch me. When I am right with the Creator I always say the right things. When I am right with the Creator, my thoughts are always good. When I am right with the Creator, my actions are always good.
Great Spirit, remove from me those things that block me from You. Allow me this day to experience the oneness.
Elder’s Meditation of the Day – September 3
But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth and it will teach you; the fish of the sea, they will inform you. Who among all these does not know the hand of the Eternal has done this?
“I am the symbol of life and Father Sky’s mate. I am your heartbeat. I am the sacred connection and universal circle of life. Honour the seven directions (East, South, West, North, Life above, below and on the Earth). I created equality all you see, so honour me, do not waste me.
A teaching: “There are birds of many colours. Yet all is one bird. There are horses of many colours. Yet all is one horse, so all living things, Animals,Flowers and Trees, so all four races, with one heart that beats. That this should last and last and everywhere there’s peace.” Questions: Do you think about me in your daily life? Do you send me healing and love? Would you exist without me? What are some of the things you could do on a regular basis to keep me healthy? Why is caring for another so important?”
The root of all Native teachings, lies in the reverence for the land. Noo Halidzoks (Mother Earth) gave the Red People a special gift of Turtle Island (North America): They were charged with the responsibility of being Caretakers of this vast land and were given much wisdom and knowledge as regards its care and preservation. As an Elder once said, “We are the environment and the environment is us. We deal with all of nature as equal members of the universal family. We go to the mountain, we go into the mountain, we become the mountain – never trying to overcome it, but always being part of its energy.”
“There are many things to be shared with the Four
Colors of humanity in our common destiny as one with our Mother the Earth. It is this sharing that must be considered with great care by the Elders and the medicine people who carry the Sacred Trusts, so that no harm may come to people through ignorance and misuse of these powerful forces.”
Resolution of the Fifth Annual Meetings of the Traditional Elders Circle, 1980
“If you have one hundred people who live together, and if each one cares for the rest, there is One Mind.”
–Shining Arrows, CROW
One of the principles of Community is Unity. The alignment of thoughts in groups of people will cause One Mind to form. One Mind is Unity. Each individual in the community must align their thoughts with what other members are thinking. If all the people think of helping one another, then the community will be service oriented and powerful results will be enjoyed. Having our thoughts aligned within a group will cause our children to experience a positive environment. When they have children, the grandchildren will automatically experience these results also.
My Creator, help me to contribute to positive group thought.
Elder’s Meditation of the Day
The momentary pause in every heartbeat is a link with the still centre of the Overself. Where the rhythm of activity comes to an end–be it a man’s heart or an entire planet–its infinite and eternal cause is there. All this vast universal activity is but a function of the silent, still Void. Paul Brunton
Often I Imagine the Earth by Dan Gerber
Often I imagine the earth
through the eyes of the atoms we’re made of—
no me, no you, no opinions,
no beginning, no middle, no end,
soaring together like those
ancient Chinese birds
hatched miraculously with only one wing,
helping each other fly home.
It does not matter what name you attach to it, but your consciousness must ascend to the point through which you view the universe with your God-centered nature. The feeling accompanying this experience is that of complete oneness with the Universal Whole. One merges into a euphoria of absolute unity with all life: with humanity, with all the creatures of the earth, the trees and plants, the air, the water, and even earth itself. This God-centered nature is constantly awaiting to govern your life gloriously. You have the free will to either allow it to govern your life, or not to allow it to affect you. This choice is always yours!
Peace Pilgrim: Peace Pilgrim Book Chapter 12
Praying without ceasing is not ritualized, nor are there even words. It is a constant state of awareness of oneness with God. Peace Pilgrim

The significance which is in unity is an eternal wonder.
We try to realise the essential unity of the world
with the conscious soul of man;
we learn to perceive the unity held together
by the one Eternal Spirit, whose power creates the earth,
the sky, and the stars,
and at the same time irradiates our minds with
the light of a consciousness
that moves and exits in unbroken continuity with the outer world. Tagore
“So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.”

Suddenly, from behind the rim of the moon, in long, slow-motion moments of immense majesty, there emerges a sparkling blue and white jewel, a light, delicate, sky-blue sphere laced with slowly swirling veils of white, rising gradually like a small pearl in a thick sea of black mystery.
It takes more than a moment to fully realize this is Earth…home. My view of our planet was a glimpse of divinity.
– Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 astronaut
The treatment of the Earth by man the exploiter is not only imprudent, it is sacrilegious. We are unlikely to correct our hideous mistakes in this realm unless we recover the mystical sense of our oneness with nature. Many people think this is fantastic. I think it is fundamental to our Sanity.
Archbishop William Temple
When we see ourselves as greater than others, when we place humankind above other creatures, above and beyond the realms of the birds and the fishes, outside the world of stone and the colors, we give away our power. Only when we see we are part of everything, joined to creation, bound to all the realms and integrated into the web of life, do we begin to call on our full potential.
Barry Brailsford,”Song of the Silence”
To be whole and harmonious, man must also know the music of the beaches and the woods. He must find the thing of which he is only an infinitesimal part and nurture it and love it, if he is to live.
William O. Douglas
The Earth and myself are of one mind. The measure of the land and the measure of our bodies are the same….
Hinmatan Yalatkit (Chief Joseph)
When we try to pick anything out by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.
When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.
Our true nationality is mankind.
